Problem Starting my tdm.

My tdm has suddenly stopped working and i need help fixing it.

i have a video here showing no willingness to start

when turning on i cant hear the  fuel pump priming like it used to not sure if thats a symptom

What i have tried:

battery fully charged and does keep charge

checked sparks sparking

checked spark gap

fuel pump working

tryed fuel pump directly powered by battery

plugged in a powerpack

emptied the fuel in carbs

cleaned carbs

checked oil pressure

replaced all fuses

I have no idea what to do next or to try as i have exhausted my knowledge on bikes.

Thanks

I've looked at the starter solenoid and its providing the current needed. Its also starting the starter motor and all of that is moving and working. Is there a test I can do with the solenoid to see if its working?

The fact that the starter motor is turning shows that there`s no problem with the starter solenoid. It is just a spring loaded electro magnetic switch that makes the connection between the battery and starter motor when it receives a current via the starter button.

Can you smell petrol from turning it over?

Is the fuel filter clogged? If it is, the pump won't prime as it already has pressure. Unlikely but easy to check:)

Propstand switch?

Clutch switch?

Yes, I noticed the neutral lamp is on.

It would not crank over if either of the safety circuits were faulty so forget about the clutch/propstand switch.

Plus  it is apparently sparking.

The plugs even if newish are not guaranteed to be giving sufficient  spark when in the combustion chamber.

I know you said they are gapped; have you thoroughly cleaned them with abrasive between the electrodes ?

You need a proper blue fat spark not a feeble yellow one.

From the short vid soundtrack it sounds very near to catching.

I would give the starter longer bursts.

Are the plugs wet ?

Often if bikes have stood even a short while with todays fuel blend in the bowls the fuel goes off quickly in hot weather.

If then a feeble attempt is made to start the bike; the fuel  rather than igniting, varnishes the plug electrodes causing a poor spark under compression.

Don't come preaching to me;you'll get chased down the road wiff a pitchfork.
