so that there is a complete weekend in the middle.
those that cant get the time off can just go for the weekend, and those skivers amoungst us cant take a whole week.
also gives the opportunity of a long weekend ie fri to mon etc.

I thought the reason for Wednesday-Wednesday was that islanders that wanted to come over for an entire week could profit from cheaper ferry prices...

me 2 and it works out costing me 4 days leave to get the wed to wed off.

all i gotta do now is work some overtime sharpish then get booked on ferry and digs over there.

if tony could find out sharpish about camping / prices i may have to go that direction. good.gif

My Sprint ST and V-strom friends are warming up to the idea of coming along. I guess it will be of the long weekend variety, not an entire week.

I was wondering two things.
  1. Is anybody consulting this event with the guys on the (huge) german TDM forum www.tdm-forum.net?
  2. Is it perhaps a nice idea to ask the CLS guy to set up a stand during the weekend or so to install CLS chain-oilsystems for those that are interested (worked great during the V-strom gathering in Kulmbach)?

yes I think camping at the same site as the accom would be the bestest option as there are quite a few people who seem to want to camp.

Speaking of breaking wind....

....that reminds me what's the nearest Renthal or whatever match to the 900's handlebar ? Precise model that's not gonna screw up distances to brakes etc??

.... which also reminds me where can you get 850 wing mirrors - i prefer them to the 900 ones?

PS I should have a free pass in July to visit the Fatherland (not mine but you know what I mean)

Hi Gazman, afaik the 99 onward TDM 850 has identical mirrors to the 900's. Or are you considering fitting the older style "square look" ones from the MKI's and 1996-1998 MKII's by any chance ?? regards WiCkY

spyball alarm/immob, bluespot brake calipers and Stainless hoses, Fournales air adjustable shock with Remote Resevoir, forks raised 10mm thru yokes, racetech linear fork springs in 15 wt oil, Kappa wingrack/luggage, heated grips, Kedo handguards, dual heat controller to power heated jacket liner and or pants!!, Stebel 136DB horn, K&N air filter, colour matched Baglux tank cover (magnetic tank bag modified to fit cover), osram +50% headloight bulbs, headlight protector,"NitramSpecial" parking loight, tail light indicators all running on LED's & incorporate "Lite Buddies", MK7 Scottoiler fitted, taller screen, 2-2 stainless steel CCC's, Devil stainless down pipes. MKI Renntec engine crash bars & sump guard.
engine changed july 2007 on a dyno run it made 79.1BHP / Torque 59.9Had a brief flirtation with a 1999 MKIIa but it blew an exaust valve on the M5 so was sold on to be repaired.

Hi Wicky - yes it must have been the MK1 model.

The online place that sold me the last pair for my old bike stopped stocking them. Funnily enough I do have a spare 900 left hand wing mirror to replace the one broken on Hogmanay - thanks to my previous pre-crash bike getting blown over onto its right side - see, every cloud really does has a silver lining? dry.gif

Back to topic and my original question; I'm guessing nobody has been talking to the German TDM forum guys about this event? Looking at the attendee list it won't be that busy, or is everybody waiting till the last few weeks?
