Well up untill today I've not been to Wales this year, usually go at least 5-6 times,

 

so after dithering over the last few weeks, last night I saw todays weather forecast and decided to go for it.

 

I made a quick dash down the M1(10mins)  to the A50 off at Uttoxeter, then across country to Stafford,Newport,Telford and

 

on to Welshpool.

 

From Welshpool I took the A458 west till I saw a sign for a lake, so thought I'd explore, ended up at Lake Vyrnwy

From here I took a bit of a back B4393, cracking little road, interesting ride

then the B4396 towards Bala, brilliant , road stunning view's

From Bala rode some fantastic quick roads to Barmouth for my fish and chip dinner.

 

one of the best days riding I've had, total about 400 miles

 

all in all a great day fantastic weather,

 

nearly forgot spotted a TDM in Barmouth, 2 up anyone from here?

twas a lot sunnier/drier today, (than it looked that day)

 

real nice riding weather today, lots bikes at Bala lake

Was out in Wales yesterday with Aircooled and another mate, 1st stop the Ponderosa then through to Bala on the A5  and a shortcut on the B4401 which is a crackin road, one which i wish Aircooled had told me about before,, then up the B roads to Bedgelert and right through to Capel Curig for lunch... headed back the long way home... who needs France or Spain when N Wales is down the road
