It apparently came on without any buttons being pressed when enjun started. Stayed on. When key removed and put back in it stopped.

It also has the common and ridiculous electronic steering lock fault.
The underneath has the common made of very cheap steel fault as do the calipers, discs and suspension components.
I don't know if the key randomly locking (or not) various door combinations on any given occasion is common but it is ridiculous.
I will spend the weekend waxoiling an 8 year old ve-hickle as otherwise in a year or so the various cheap crap components/chassis will be MOT test failures!
Thanks for the help chaps, good to know that its not an urgent illumination.

I'm a Land Rover man at heart, having had loads over the years as green lane/trials vehicles, but there's no way I'd have any land Rover model newer than about mid 90's. The last one I had was a P38 Rangie, which was alright for the time I had it, though I did spend a fair bit on uprated air springs (Arnott longer travel hobbies from USA) and preventative maintenance. I might consider going back to a Defender, but having had Jap 4x4s for the last two, LR products now seem overpriced and poor value.
Hope you get it sorted Dappers. What are you looking to replace it with?

I plan on replacing it with an udder diesel 306..... it's Tishabelles ve-hickle but she has about had enough of it and the 306 is free!!
If it's the 1.9 TD rather than the 2.0 HDI check which fuel pump it's got. The Bosch pumped ones run fine on veg oil instead of diesel

The one Tishabelle might have is a HDI.

I always found I fancied chips when I was running my ZX on veg oil Presumably with the Lucas pump he's preheating it and running a separate tank rather than just chucking it in the diesel tank.
