Kia ora all.

I'm taking the bike off the road for 4 months and want to connect it to an optimiser / trickle charger. Have any members added connections so that this is a quick and easy process? I was going to run a couple of wires from the battery accessible from under the seat unless their is an easier way.

Cheers all.

Most optimate type chargers come with just such an adapter to connect to the battery.

Battery access is the issue I want to get around. I could just take the battery off, but if I need to start the bike up it means a bit of time doing key hole surgery to re-install.

I should clarify that my electrickery knowledge ends at changing a light bulb, bayonet fitting.

As chrisr stated, chargers regularily is delivered with a cable with a connector in one end fitting the charger and two cable shoes ("lugs"?) for connecting directly to battery poles:

Thank you. Looks a lot easier than getting the winkle out of it's shell.
