I am sure you will find yòur answer there. But FYI and in case useful, I use a block of wood under the sidestand in order to fill my fuel tank up to max.

heat up engine

remove seat

unscrew dipstick and wipe clean

put leg across, raise bike to vertical position (balance)

keep it upright for ~ 1 minute

put dipstick in (don't screw it in)

remove dipstick - read level

...rest bike back on sidestand

Paddock stand. Cheap and easy fix, and works with any bike - almost.

Helps with chain lube too.

Thanks guys, got paddock stands so sorted there.
And I had pretty much come to the conclusion that a block of wood under the side stand was the way to go. Straddling the bike is I think the way to go as both hands free!!!!!!
Cheers guys.. ridden it a fair bit since getting it and it's been a joy!!!
So easy, relaxed and a bit of go when you want it. I'm no knee down scraper, but to me it handles better than my capabilities, but most bikes do. Track day warriors and super fast roadies may not agree

Glad you're liking the bike, they're a great all-rounder.  Once you get an idea of how much oil it uses, you prolly won't need to check it as regularly.
