Had issue with the clutch for a year, didn't feel like anything major so with lock down 2, I decided to take a look. Everything went well with the removal of the cover and plate but I was very surprised to find two completely different makes of friction plate. They are different pad configuration and a different colour.
I have found staining on the adjacent plates which looks like they were sticking which I think would have accounted for the poor clutch engagement and a very snatchy feel. Is it normal to find this in the clutch guys.
I have ordered new friction plates, springs, oil filter, and oil. It will be great to feel what difference this makes, I hope.
