So this clean one was on the 'bay recently, starting at £3.6k gradually going down to £3k over the course of a couple of weeks. Now it has sprung up at a dealer for £4k - which partly answers my question - 'what does a dealer expect to make' on a TDM, assuming they bought at around £2.75k...

The dealer could be selling it on behalf of the owner, lots of 'em do. Dealer might end up selling for a fair bit less than advertised too.

Had not thought of that. Yes, maybe the owner has committed to buy something else from that dealer and tried to sell privately first for more return. In that scenario - can the dealer sell the TDM for any price then the original owner gets a percentage as trade in?
Now at Robinsons of Rochdale. A bit frustrating as I wanted to view it as it was local, but with restrictions (and weather) it was not possible. Would be hard to stomach an increase in cost because it has gone up the road to a dealer!

IBZ i think you'll be hard pushed to find a better deal than on the previous page, Ramo has an obsession with keeping his bikes in fine fettle, worth a look at least.
