Today is the 6th June and 76 years since my Grandfather was part of the Normandy Landings.

The recent furlough scenario gave me the opportunity to investigate a family heirloom which was a pocket book of pencil drawings he did (often several a month) detailing the events of this period of his life.

So i created a video from the cartoons and wrote some music to go with it.

As the family hearsay goes, an Officer told him to do a drawing every day ….

This is part one encompassing June and July 1944. At some point there will be Part 2 & 3.

It is interesting to note that at the time of the landings he was 37 years old and was married with an 8 year old son (my father).
