I suppose the main thing i have learnt is the importance and relevance in todays life and society of cake.
everytime i see a g2g advertised i check for the ingredients before i decide whether i can go or not
Cake is the essence of my existence
Cheers

A place for advice ( sometimes conflicting ), chat, a bit of gentle abuse , jokes and stories
a place to plan away days and jollies or check out the holiday snaps of those who've come back from their trips
And if the worst happens, comfort and help (as far as possible on-line)
I think I've just described an on-line pub with cake
your round!

Really good mate, been here 13years now, done a lot of bike touring, great to ride uncongested scenic roads after years of travelling motorways in the UK, not to mention the better climate after the north-east England.
Love to tour Aussie one day too, looks like you have a biking paradise there too.

Hey! What about me!
Tis great to have somewhere to go where ALL the members understand why I often love my TDM more than my R1. Don't tell the R1 though! He might spit me off again!
Carpe members were luvverly to me when I crashed. You all cheered me up and that meant an awful lot, stuck here on my own and not able to vent on my bikes. Reading about other members escapades is almost as good as a bike "fix" to me.
I also got my TPS sorted thanks to Carpe and tackled the sticky fast idle problem.
I think you're a great (if sexist... but that's normal, you are mostly blokes) bunch.

Apart from my own TDM
Ewes lot mean EVERYTHING ! to me
Only spoilt by the occasional scoota rider, BMW snobbery and the occasional comment like
"I have a new bike, its better than the TDM." , If its that good why Dont you just ...... join their club.
Because I think of this site as a Club. Where I can get help, share views and meet up from time to time.
Cheers, Ivan

wow....
well...carpe...i've met 2 Singaporean TDM riders here, whom have never been to the local TDM forum,well...now they're on track with the local boys as well...
And,i still bounce in and out of here everyday....so carpe is like my daily meal... and also,it will keep reminding me of how a TDM should look from time to time...becoz mine already....not likely to be in it's origin form...
So cheers....
