Hi guys

Used to be a member but forgot details and email is no longer in use. Ive had two niners and an 850 but since moved on to a tiger sport...

At age 67 my dad is selling his TDM900 which he bought new in 2010. It has covered a whopping 1200 (yes one thousand two hundred) miles all of them dry and he has kept it immaculate. Its pretty much a new bike. Always garaged under a cover on an optimate

It's a silver graphite one (almost looks black) everything is standard apart from a taller powerbronze screen and it comes with a centrestand and full Kappa luggage (side cases and top box)

Ill try and get some pics off him. The bike is in Browns motorcycles in Ottery St Mary and he is looking for £3500 which in my opionion is an utter bargain.

Ill be sad to see it go as it will have been his last ever bike as he is calling time on riding so bit of a choker for me. I hope it will go to a good home.

Sounds awesome.

Well I'm hooked on the TDM now, working my way through the mods and add on's.

Michelin PR4's, R1 17" front wheel. Scorpion end cans (winter time I'll add the rest of the system), Power Commander 3,  Givi top box, custom made YSS rear shock, K-Tech fork springs with 15w oil, fork gators, touring screen, Air box modification. . . . .to be continued.

Sorry guys, its silver, I don't know why I thought graphite - I haven't seen it for years to be fair :) I have emailed browns for some pics as I am in North Oxfordshire so cant exactly pop round to get my own.

You don't need ABS when you only ride in dry weather :P

I try to only ride in dry weather....never quite works out that way!

Anyway, back to the bike in question, sounds like a bargain,

unfortunately not for me, not in silver.

Funny that, I'm not after another but I don't like the silver much either.
Don't let that put you off seller, I can't see that hanging around for long.

Although I could stick my yellow panels on.

I looked up the 2010 grey and it's a pretty nice colour. The one I looked at had an oxblood seat, which I also like a lot. Very tempting, but getting another one would be like going on holiday to the same resort year after year.

That model is the same as mine and Kelpie's.

Doesn't have ABS.

It's only your bum and everyone else that notices the seat.

Just realised that I am on my fourth too, Pete. Still got no 3 though. Went for a run yesterday and the old one. Still runs great, which is why I am loathe to part with it. Ali

2004 900 - Blue with lots of goodies

2012 900 - Still adding shiny bits. Was black, changed to white and now back to black again.

I've yet to see anything that truly matches 900's multi-tasking .... Hartsyde Man's 800 Tiger always seemed a good package but not enough to tempt me. The rest tend to be more (but bigger and heavier) of the same ... apologies for my cynicism

Pete

p.s. Tracer Mt-09 or MT-07 seem a bit young and trendy, and extreme, for an auld bloke like me.

p.p.s. So this 1200 mile 900 still looks a great buy for someone :clapping:

How come the bikes that you're interested in are never local.

I've been waiting patiently in the background for an update on this thread.

I'd still like to see the pictures of this bike.
