Lower from what?

Lower from what?
The pressure required for tarmac riding

G'day Bjorge
For ease of riding I adjust tyre pressures for whatever road conditions/surfaces the majority of the days' riding is planned. Even changing pressures during a ride if conditions change.
For example, if I have to ride say 50kms tarmac to get to the dirt, I'll run higher pressures on the tarmac, then reduce them on arrival. It also helps tyre longevity.
Approx average is F 24psi R 32psi, then higher or lower for Tarmac, gravel or sand.
Hope that helps.
Safe riding.
Cheers

Yeah, this was what I was woandering about.
When driving on gravel, would it help lowering pressure on regular street tyres like PilotRoads ? - Or is the effect only interesting With knobby tyres ?
You see, I grew up With bicycling and driving mopeds quite regularly on gravel roads, but never heard about tyre pressure. It was only recently that I figred out that dirt bicycling on an MTB requires lowered pressure....

I always adjust my pressures to the conditions, even before I changed to knobbies.
Once you start experimenting personally to find your comfort zone, you will be surprised in the difference in handling.
Amazingly such a simple task to put that bigger smile on your face.
Good luck
