Hello everyone!

During two seasons I have knocking from rear shock absorber on my 900. It is working good, but have noisy knocking and little oil leakage.

Now I going to try rebuild it by myself.

I see only two difficult moments:

- to buy new seal and bushing

- to pump 10 bar pressure in the tank with rubber vavle for needle nozzle. I haven't needle nozzle and high pressure pump.

I found only one option to by new bushing with oil seal and dust seal - All Balls 37-1010 "shock head seal kit".

Does anybody use this kit for 900 shocks rebuild?

Thanks in advance!!!

P.S.

Next option - keep ride while the shock absorber is working :-)

Well, I found some info - All Balls 37-1010 seal kit about 4-5mm higher than OEM part. It can be installed in 900er shock and I saw one example in Youtube, but rear suspention travel will be less. And for correct rebuild I think new 4-5mm higher rubber damper needed.

I am going to delay this research to next winter

Check the knocking isn't coming from the linkages

Checked. I swinged moto and touched all links and joints - there is no free play there.

And when touching spring or shocks body I feeling knocking inside.
