ISTM these batteries are more vulnerable than the old fashioned ones used in the Mk1, is that so?

.....my notes from. previous problems .....assisted by wisdom on here, say:
12.2v is considered discharged
12.3 + is ok for a cold bike, un run
start bike&run
Shouldn’t exceed 14.4v
This may be helpful.....or not !
I’d put battery in, run it.... and see if it accepts charge, and retains it for a few days
but what do I know...........More reliable wisdom may be along in a mo.

They self discharge over time. Check the date labels, one might even tell you when it's next due for a charge. the dates have a bit of leniancy about them, but before anything else pop it on charge, a lead acid cell which is sat at a low voltage for a long period ages more quickly
900 with better bits. Owes me nothing, Makes me smile
