Power commander adds fuel where the standard fuel injection system leans it out, to get more power and to smooth out the engine response - some people complain about the on-off nature of the throttle at low RPM.
The bike will be able to take anything you throw at it. I bought one with 92000 miles on, an ex riding instructors bike which had been looked after, and it now has 107000 on it and runs sweet.
Give yourself time to get used to it and if you find the steering slow (it depends on your riding style) there is an option to drop the front wheel down to 17" diameter (easy if you don't have ABS)
And hello !
900 with better bits. Owes me nothing, Makes me smile

If your set up is working well for you - and it sounds like it is - then I would leave things alone. If you want to preserve your standard silencers and fit custom ones then there are still a few options out there.
I fitted Demon cans from SP Engineering and have been really pleased with them.Good quality, good fit and a nice deep tone with DB killers fitted. I also fitted a PC3 but found it unnecessary and so I disconnected it. I think to get the best from a Power Commander you need to have it mapped by a specialist.
Happy riding!

I agree with both Favs and Riggers. Suspension change can make a difference but if you're enjoying the bike leave as is.

The only items I changed were to do with the snatchy throttle and the seat.
You had a snatchy seat??? Did it have a female owner before? You could have just washed it and tried a bit of febreze you know.

Does the snatchy seat have the "wet look" fabric?
