Anyone here used one of these ?

I saw one on a bike recently and it looked like a useful accessory, not to replace a lifesaver but more of an addition to safety.

I've had one. It has it's uses, but not enough for me to feel that it was worth buying another for the next bike I bought.

You need to look towards it and (if necessary) refocus your eyes. However, if it is  positioned close to your eye line the movement of a vehicle coming up alongside you can get your attention.....

Yeah, but any help would improve safety.... I find the most terrifying moments in MC driving is changing lanes in heavy traffic, especially as turning your head means no forward sight... Dunno if these fisheye mirrors would actually work, but it would be reassuring if they do...

Has anyone ever seen helmet mounted rear view mirrors ?

I was riding in the Highlands today and when i got back on the motorway I thought it would be nice to just be able to glance to the side and see what's beside me in the rear...might be fun to try.

I've seen electronic versions, with a camera at the rear and an eye level viewer, but it's a lot of tech to solve a simple problem !

I looked at that lastnight after mentioning it ...maybe that's the best solution, if it works well enough.

I've got a riderscan fitted to my touring screen. It doesn't replace rear view mirrors but it is great for doing a quick check to see if anything is about to pass you on motorways.

Really useful if driving abroad when vehicles seem to pass you on both sides in towns and on motorways.
