Well the adverts passed on ebay and the weather isn't particularly inspiring for buying bikes. So I think I'll wait a while before making another add. Plus I not sure I really want to sell her now......

If in the mean time anyone fancies a nice blue 900, just PM me with any prospective price you may have in mind.

Seeing as the Ads completely disappeared I'll recreate it here.

2007 Yamaha TDM 900, Blue.

Good condition, always garaged, Datatag, Y.I.S.S engine immobiliser, Hand Guards, Centre stand, Givi Top Box mount, 3 original keys, Avon Storm 2 tyres. MOT until 16/08/2013 and Taxed until 31/07/2013. Owned by myself since August 2010. Always well maintained. This is the second TDM 900 I have owned and is a much underrated bike with brilliant fuel economy, loads of torque and strong (Blue spot) brakes. It is a perfect all round bike and is as much at home on a B road blast as it is on Touring duty. Selling to raise funds for engagement ring.

£3600 ONO.

I have lost the photo's of bike but will upload some more shortly.

Yeah I think it would be good. I actually have a couple of items I'm also selling that you may be interested in Chris. Buy it while I've got it, because first to see will buy!

First up is some lovely old rope found on the floor of my garage. Its Authentic, Hand Made in Yorkshire, traditionally wound rope. perfect for all your tying needs. I'm currently selling it for a giveaway price of £10 per M (minimum purchase 4M). If your buying rope why not also buy this lovely duct tape, previously used to hold up the garage roof. So has been proved to be very strong duct tape indeed. Carefully rewound onto original roll. Further discount negotiable if bought together.

Jonny, is it genuine old rope, or just a modern copy ?  Reason I ask is that genuine old rope is measured in feet and inches, not metres.  :unsure2:

I could whizz you up a nice ring in genuine Brass or 316 stainless fer nowt with a nice bit 'o' knurling, what's her finger diameter in mm ?

The only diamonds I have are for sharpening my grinding wheel and look black.

Can't get on with those funny letter ring sizes, it don't compute on my machine

You might need the rope and duct tape for 'control' later on  :rotflmmfao:

I was gonna knock a ring up outta some copper piping. But I'd still need to sell the bike to afford it.

Shouldn't cost too much to get married.

Get license from the Registry Office er £30 afaik,  both attend on the arranged date, Oh you will need two witnesses so invite father/ mother of bride, mum and dad and some mates from Carpe.  I do, she will, sign bit 'o paper done and dusted, knees up at pub round the corner. Call it £500 all in.

Get the mum of bride to knock her up a wedding dress on the sewing machine. Honeymoon?.........ah yes, needs to be cheap.....  :um:

On the Bike ! Touring !

Keep bike, get married, honeymoon, all sorted.

Always remember weddings are usually planned by women..... and paid for by men.

The average cost of a wedding is £20,000 according to the Guardian. So selling the bike won't make the anywhere near the cost.

Try £350 for the registry office, then £35 each (why each? Who gets married in any other number but 2?) to turn up with ID before hand, then £5 for the certificate.... It seems as soon as you mention weddings the price for everything skyrockets. Seems like a chuffing expensive way of getting a new set of crockery if you ask me.

I've got it covered. Just a wedding, hopefully somewhere pretty as a compromise with the Missus. Then reception meal thingy at the local curry shop, Should be able to do a good deal and they shouldn't care its a wedding. That way everyone gets a meal they want to eat rather than the dry chicken and soggy veg you usually get. That'll be ont Friday. Then party on Saturday evening with buffet, maybe borrowing one of our friends marquee's, followed by a BBQ on the Sunday. That way our longer distance guests can make a weekend of it.

I'm also considering kicking my Grandparents out of there house's and moving them in with my parents for the weekend, So our friends don't need to pay for accommodation.

Honeymoon is cockle picking in morecambe, Should pay for itself.

Having been married four times myself. I completely agree with the idea of a friday wedding. That way, if it doesn't work out, you haven't wasted the whole weekend.I agree that cockle picking in Morecambe Bay sounds ideal, but don't suggest it to any of your chinese friends, they are not very good at it. Although I am sure it will not matter in your case, just to let you know, the cost of getting married is nothing compared with the cost of getting unmarried. Good luck to you both!

Sounds like a good plan Jonny, just don't let her see any more expensive venues.  I made the mistake of leaving the girlfiend to organise viewing places :D

Lee, to be fair that's the fee for getting the registrar to come to another venue, I assume it's a bit cheaper if you go to them.

She's already spent all of Dave's money going to Uni. Just been told a bloody photographer is about £1200. But I think I will just put a GoPro on my head. Should be able to get a pretty good video that way.

Hasn't the bride's father got a TDM900 sitting in the garage that he's not using? Having sold yours you'd have the cash to buy his which would give him the cash to hire the curry house.
