Givi Rack.....

I note it comes with the stability arms which run down to the footpegs.
Does any one fit them?
Think they are necessary?
I seem to remember they came with my XJR rack and I never bothered.
I never overload the box anyway - usually just helmet/waterproof etc.
Large monokey case.

I went through 3 sets of Givi racks, they all broke at various points. I think they are made from really poor quality metal. The last set I even painted in Hammerite paint from new and sprayed the insides with ACF50 to try to stop the rust. It still failed after a couple of years. I tried the support bars to the footrest, it still failed.
I now have a universal mounting plate attached directly to the grab rail/rack and I am so much happier with it.
It needs a bit of extra packing between the plate and rack, as the rack is not flat, but it is really solid and I have a lot more confidence in it now.
What ever you try I would recommend locktite-ing all the bolts as they can come loose

If you've got them then why not fit them? Can't do any harm and may do some good.
My bike came with them already fitted. The top box plate is fitted direct to the OE minirack rather than on monorack arms, and there are panniers too.
If you want to know how they look see mine:-
