Is it possible to lengthen/replace the existing header pipe bolts? I have recently bought a new set of header pipes (Original part off a different 4TX) and the flanges are much thicker than the ones on the original part. This means I can not fit the Copper gaskets to the pipes. Does anybody know a way around this?
Below is a picture to show this and a picture of the flanges on the new headers
Thanks, Dan

You always fit longer studs, get a length of threaded rod and cut to the size you want, do it with a hot engine and they will come out easier, to remove run 2 nuts on them and lock them together and undo by the nut closest the head.

I would guess M8x1.25 but wouldn't swear by it, use stainless studding.

Are you using the original nuts ?  They're a cylindrical allen socket head and, from memory, should fit inside the flange bolt recess and tighten the lot up.

Yambits do a replacement nut, says they're a direct replacement for the item listed above.  Not particularly cheap though.

Studley, just looking at the flange there is not a recess on it for the nuts to sit in. Not sure if you can see that from the picture I attached

The recess would be on t'other side of them there flanges (not shown in pic).

If you bought MK2 exhaust flanges and that's a MK2 enjun, they gotta be fitting somehow.

Have you dug out the composite crush gaskets from the cylinder head?

Some old flanges are thinner, or, to me they look thinner:

Thanks for the comments, I haven’t checked for the old gaskets that may be stuck in the cylinder head- never thought of that so good call. I’ll let you know
