Not that bad really fellas. Those of you that have known me (and Toni) for a while will already know she went through a nasty time with cancer just over seven years ago (Burkitts Lymphoma to be precise). Burkitts is very rare and very aggressive, with reports of the tumours doubling in size in as little as 48 hours. Really nasty stuff. Anyway, she's all good now, but it's taken most of this time to get back to something resembling normal. We've been fund-raising for Cancer Research pretty much every year since with our anniversary bbq's and other events.
This is where I would ask you guys to chip in. We've both signed up for Cancer Research September 300. The goal is to raise as much as we can in exchange for cycling 300 miles in September this year. We've only returned to cycling since the lockdown and while she has a nice new shiny thing (collected this week to replace the old bike), mine is a 25 year old steel framed old clunker. I've not been on a bike for over 20 years and in her case, we think over 40! If you could chip a few bob to help boost the coffers, I'd be really grateful and it literally might make a difference to someones life. Toni has committed to riding at least 100 miles and I'll be doing the rest.
