Last time out, which was actually also the first time out on a Tedium: I suspected the speedo to be somewhat optimistic comparing it to how the FZR's perform on the same roads.
I connected up a sat nav type speedometer that is used principally on series Landies and for speed testing when tuning the other bikes. It is very accurate and easy to read at speed.
Right ; I have to diversify here; Why ,when I link a pic. am I unable to carry on with text below the pic.?
I can only add text to the last text, this means all text then pics out of context...........
And after posting pics they re-order themselves! Whats that all about then. ?
Right, so the speedo is only reading about 5mh higher than actual, I think it is the scale of the speedo face that accentuates this.
Never mind ; got chased from the venue of the second pic with " Hoy,can't you read.?"
Carried on up to Blanchland and just caught up with these two Dutch chaps as they were leaving; the Aermacchi was mint; the rider was nearly 70.
Now that stance ,on that frame,on those roads ,at that age deserves respect. It was as dry as dust ,which could not be said for the Gilera which was doing a bit of external oil cooling.
Straight roads ahead;but not at all level.
Crossing borders all day.
Could not resisist last pic; some think wor bikes are beasts
The baglux fiasco is a later mark 2 one bought hoping it would fit a mark 1; well it nearly does;it fits the Fzr 1000's better, but will have to do for now..
