Mounting Rr98 Reg/rec

If you have mounted an RR98 regulator/rectifier, please let me know where you mounted it and any details.

I've seen one mounted to the left side of the frame, under the left side panel.  Thing is, I think Yamaha changed the location of the reg/rec on the mk1 as the early ones had it mounted on the right side and later mk1's on the left side soooooo, the wiring might be an issue if your relocating from right side to left side.

Wiring could be re-routed by running directly from the battery with an inline fuse and make up a lead for the alternator cables.


Bigred mk1 R1 Calipers- Braided lines- Givi wing rack-Crash bungs- Hi vis bullets-PR2's- and a hoot to ride.

Quad 900 Silver Laser duo tech pipes-Scott oiler-Engine crash bars- Radiator mounted see me ring LED's-Datatool system 3 alarm -Centre stand- Extender fender-Renthal bars-Handle bar risers-Mirror extenders-BMW GS Handgaurds-Acumen uprated horn & Nautilus-Stainless steel Radiator guard-Givi wing rack-OEM screen-Yammy touring screen-MRA Vario-MRA Double bubble cut down for fast as fk riding-Tiger screen-Tank protector-Stomp grip panels-Optimate lead   Gone to Heaven  :sorry:

It is with great shame and humility that I report that I've delegated the mounting of the RR98 to a local professional 

If he needs help messing it up I can always jump back in

I'll post his results...
