Guys

If anyone has bought a set of these cree U5 3 mode spotlights ive just found the simple mod to remove the flashing feature and just work as a simple spot light on the switch.

Its really easy, can be done on the bike and should not take no longer than 10 minuites.

They seem to stay on high beam for me when switched on and off with the ignition.

How does it know? :dunno:

I'm pretty sure that a capacitor provides the power to the switching chip.  As we all know :unsure2:, a capacitor is the electrical equivalent of a bucket with a hole in it.  The power drains through the hole and the chip 'forgets' its last setting.  Mine are wired to the dip beam and so come on when the engine starts.  If I start, stop, start quickly then they don't forget.  If I stop for fuel then they do.
