Any idea what this hole is between panels as it looks as though there shud be a rubber insert or some sort of fixing there?
spyball alarm/immob, bluespot brake calipers and Stainless hoses, Fournales air adjustable shock with Remote Resevoir, forks raised 10mm thru yokes, racetech linear fork springs in 15 wt oil, Kappa wingrack/luggage, heated grips, Kedo handguards, dual heat controller to power heated jacket liner and or pants!!, Stebel 136DB horn, K&N air filter, colour matched Baglux tank cover (magnetic tank bag modified to fit cover), osram +50% headloight bulbs, headlight protector,"NitramSpecial" parking loight, tail light indicators all running on LED's & incorporate "Lite Buddies", MK7 Scottoiler fitted, taller screen, 2-2 stainless steel CCC's, Devil stainless down pipes. MKI Renntec engine crash bars & sump guard.
engine changed july 2007 on a dyno run it made 79.1BHP / Torque 59.9Had a brief flirtation with a 1999 MKIIa but it blew an exaust valve on the M5 so was sold on to be repaired.
I loike tay and hang sangwiches !

Mine's the same, no fixing in it.
Mk2a 2000 in Silver. Top end Refurb @ 41100 miles, Scottoiler, Renthal Road High Bars, Up & Back Bar Risers, Bellypan, DL650 Handguards, Capt. Picard Bar Ends, House of Henty SS Wheel spacers, New Seat Cover Fitted. 58 MPG !! Now owned by chrisbee ! Studley's mk2a Bloggerydoodaah ! Think it's there near the end of the 2 halves to prevent it from becoming distorted perhaps ?

LOL ya hurtful fecker! Gdogg ya wanna see how much easier it is working on these 3VD's compared to 4TX's.

Had a 3VD new back in the day (Took the advise of Mark Forsyth in Performance Bike ) as it was the new 350LC Hooligan tool, kept it for 6 months and then got rid, so didn't get to work on it ! Must have left some sort of impression on me tho as I've had WinalotPrime for 6 years now !

i got some of the old copies of performance bikes where some chaps went to town fitting all manner of fork and swingarm upgrades to a 3VD.

Mine has that hole as well. Mines missing the rubber/foam headlight surround. I wondered if it was to locate the surround on to.
Wickkers, if you could find that copy and scan and post the article,that would be most interesting!

I is in need of the foam surround that's supposed to be around the headlights on a 3vd. I've never had it on mine but I've seen photos of bikes with them on.
