Has anyone used an after market fuel tap on their 3vd? I darent buy a second hand one, as who knows how long it will have until it leaks. Mine is broken, not good. Ive used some chemical metal, which is ok for now. But, Id rather have a more permanent option!
Some on eBay look ok, but they arent the right shape or whatever. Any help is good help, ta!

I struggled to find a new replacement for a reasonable cost and ended up buying 2nd hand with which i got lucky and it's okay.

Saw one this am on ebay by chance, located in Japan so if your feeling spendy £100ish have a look.

I was hoping for something like £10!! Haha one that looks ok, works ok and doesnt cost more than a spray can! Ill keep looking, see if I can find something that looks similar for a decent price. Thanks!!

An old one plus a replacement seal kit isn't a bad option either.....assuming the tap lends itself to a rebuild

EDIT - around a tenner for a seals kit -http://www.ebay.co.u...FQAAOSwiKlZ2FjD

Even though, I had thought of that, I didnt think about how much cheaper it would be. Sounds dumb... haha thanks for knocking my head into gear! Baha

LED indicators, I understand that if I just fit them, theyll either stay illuminated when I switch them on or flash a thousand times faster. Do I need a diode or something?

You need diodes in the wiring to the idiot light, plus an led relay.

for my mk1 I replaced the flasher unit with an led compatible one. Same cost as other methods but fewer connections,
