Courgette and lime... Sounds wrong but taste so right.

 

I like sounds wrong food. :good: Salt & caramel,  cheese and Jam (has to be a white cheese loike Cheshire) and my fave pickled silverskins and marmite....honest, give it a try. :evillaff:

Kentucky Derby Pie in the oven (one of a big batch for a catering gig tomorrow. It’s essentially a choc and walnut tart in a pastry case with a double shot of Jim Beam Pre Prohibition Bourbon in each one. 

 

What's not to like.  Looks fantastic. :good:

Last of the dried yeast used today with Canadian bread flour - been trying since lockdown started to get some dried yeast ffs. :waiting:

if anyone is interested 10kgs of flour (plain and self rising) at Aldi for £3.99. Don't know if it's any good. No bread flour that I could see.

Available at the time bud. The UK imports a lot of wheat from Canada - see that Geography O level  was some use after all, despite Norman Stanley Fletcher..... :)

It's a good job Toni is making some Fish Finger Wraps for lunch - that's making me feel rather hungry now.

I noticed low flour levels at weekly shop.

Anyways, this is marrow, cinnamon and pecan cake with orange buttercream. It goes in to the odd combo doodicious category.

Wonder if peeps are panic buying........again. :rolleyes:  Not sure if yer neighbours cakey combo is intentional, or if she's got a well smudged cookbook, but, if it tastes good who cares.  :good:
