Well I am about to get the bike out after a winter of keeping it warm, I have a few jobs to do first.

One thing I would like to do is get the mirrors sorted, my problem is that I am 6 foot 5 and when in rideing kit the only thing I can see in my mirrors are my elbows is there anything I can do to help.

I dont want to bin the mirrors so are there any others out there that have the same problem and what can I do.

Anyone ever experimented with blind-spot mirrors.

Some cars have mirrors with a little tilt at the end so that it improves the side-ways view.
I have seen little stick-ons that give a sideways glimpse.

Then again- maybe its better to keep the shoulder check discipline

XT1200Z - Big and bouncy

GTR1400 - Chaufer the wife.
XT660Z - Fun and commute.
TDM900 - Yellow.

I'm 6'5" too and I just move my elbows. Is that bad?
---Something I like doing... I promise I'll get a pic of the bike as soon as I wash it... and fix the carbs... and wash my hair... and tidy my sock drawer.

I was thinking that, $60.00 for a few centimetres of steel with two holes!
I am sure we can get some made up for a fraction of that.
Me thinks another Andy K deal could be in the offing. banana.gif
TS50ER, Suzuki GT125, Cagiva 125, Suzuki GT250 20 year gap. Honda CBF600. Discovered the joy of TDM, 1974 GT250 has joined the stable
Vario touring screen, Stainless Steel Rad Guard, Fender Extender (it came off), Givi V46 Topbox (inc brake light), SW-Motech Engine Bars, Wingrack, LED Tail Light
Still in the shed:- BMW Hand Guards, Heated Grips, Aux Lamps.

Get rid of 'em

They only cause drag, and are unwanted clutter on the 'steered mass' causing slower steering

Concentrate on whats in fornt oif you and not where you've been

If you must see whats behind, then as you say, look over your shoulder.

Tidies up the lines of the bike as well without them great big hulking things sticking out

I'm 6'3" and have non standard bars to achieve a more comfortable riding position. These are wider (as well as lower and more forward) than standard and have the added benefit of making the mirrors wider too. I see past my elbows with no problem. good.gif 2 birds with one stone and all that smile.gif
