Sorry not being very present on the forum since several months, there was some time ago a big loss in my family and last months/years were really hard times.

I promise I'll soon be there again in a better mood, I mean enough good mood to appreciate Dapleb funny quotes / fixitsan long posts / all other forum members and even some mint jelly - well, not quite sure about the latter.

Doin valve clearances? Use dappers valve shim exchange program and the job will be carroty - Free (other than you postin me yer shims) for sporting members.

Had to leave work early , phone call from the wife GET HOME NOW , ITS YOUR DAD, been expecting this for a while , gets to the care home that he is in and  he is lying there not quite right as rain but he had to be resuscitated by the doctor , sporadic pulse and low blood pressure, and it looks like a chest infection so , sorry for your loss , glad you are back on the forum :good:

Mods; Oil pressure switch, neoprene rear inner mudguard, scottoiler, highway pegs,  fenda extenda, 1999 carbs and airbox, Kais suspension setup, later clutch springs, LED lamps, Metmachex swingarm, Hagon Shock, Oxford heated grips, 4 way fused accessory Bus, 17" 3CV front wheel, Michellin R6 tyres, GPS speedo, 5' ignition advance.

Hi JBX,  glad yer back. I sent you some money for a drink some months ago,  i hope you received it and it tasted good.


spyball alarm/immob, bluespot brake calipers and Stainless hoses, Fournales air adjustable shock with Remote Resevoir, forks raised 10mm thru yokes, racetech linear fork springs in 15 wt oil, Kappa wingrack/luggage, heated grips, Kedo handguards, dual heat controller to power heated jacket liner and or pants!!, Stebel 136DB horn, K&N air filter, colour matched Baglux tank cover (magnetic tank bag modified to fit cover), osram +50% headloight bulbs, headlight protector,"NitramSpecial" parking loight, tail light indicators all running on LED's & incorporate "Lite Buddies", MK7 Scottoiler fitted, taller screen, 2-2 stainless steel CCC's, Devil stainless down pipes. MKI Renntec engine crash bars & sump guard.
engine changed july 2007 on a dyno run it made 79.1BHP / Torque 59.9Had a brief flirtation with a 1999 MKIIa but it blew an exaust valve on the M5 so was sold on to be repaired.

I loike tay and hang sangwiches !

I recently joined his site (same I joined here), had a brief chat via email and received some tips on his site ( most recently last weekend) so hes definitely around .

not a sausage (or a baguette) from him sints way back then.  I 'Spoke' to BigBird a few weeks back though on Facebook!

It can be difficult. We lost my Dad last January. Very sore, and in August the wife lost her Mum (last remaining parent).

 

It can be difficult coming out of the daze, sometimes you don't even want to


900 with better bits. Owes me nothing, Makes me smile
