For a number of reasons, not least because i buggered up my left hand (mainly two broken fingers) I only managed 40 miles in the last 16 months on the nine and a whisker over 400 on the Guzzi in the last two years (it's been layed up since March 2016). BUT, I'm back on the road again having spent some time yesterday getting MOT and tax for the pair of them. Just a pair of new tyres for the Guzzi and I'll have the full compliment again. I've got some PR4s on order which should be here Monday.

It's fair to say I'm a bit rusty on the riding front, but getting back on the TDM felt like a comfortable pair of old slippers. The Guzzi needed a little more getting used to. Anyway, the plan is to ride considerably more than in the last couple of years and get to some meets with you lot.

Good to be back. :-)

Sure is Dappers. I can still play, but it was very painful after only a few minutes at first. Now I can manage about an hour before it starts to hurt a bit. Following day after a gig I can barely move them.

After my shattered left wrist I was so afraid that I wouldn't be able to gety fingers around the guitar neck again. I've been playing since my teens and it's as important to me as riding. Luckily i got enough flexibility back to play, though it was painful at first, so I understand that one.

Good to see you back.

Just got back after a jaunt round the local twisties on damp/drying roads. Covered 60 miles all in, so not a marathon session, but have "progressed" to reducing my comfort braking by about 80% compared to when I climbed back on board yesterday. Almost got to the edge of the tyres too, so it's all coming back.

We'll have to see about another EA G2G, but if anyone is over this way, they're always welcome to drop in and who knows, I may even have the smoker fired up.

Not at all Matt. I fell over painting a skirting board (yes, really). Smashed two fingers end on into a chimney breast as I tried to break my fall. Not quite eligible for a Darwin Award, but close lol

Don't motorcycles seem really quick when you haven't ridden for a while? Glad to hear that you are back on two wheels.

I agree mostly, but both my bikes are slower than one of my cars apart from a slight advantage up to 60.  It somehow feels a lot more frantic in something that's physically larger and tries to spin up at around a ton in the dry :-)

Glad yar on the mend twev and the guitar flingers back working.

Oi had a Darwin last year. Had a day of awkward customers who I thought might kill me. Survived, got home made a cuppa and broke me toe on the sofa before oi had even sat Doon. :-) Then caught the same toe on the same bit of sofa a few weeks later.
