Hello all,

used the bike for some essential shopping on Sunday and had what some might call a spirited ride. Upon returning home pulled up and the engine revs sat at about 2200 rpm, popped into neutral and they dropped to normal put it back in gear and the revs rise again.

Not sure were to start looking, any idea's peeps.

Ta muchly

Bondy.

Something daft like clutch cable catching throttle cable? Does it rev higher actually moving in gear or just when clutch pulled in?

Scenario is, pull clutch in normal revs, in put in gear revs rise. pop in neutral revs drop to normal.

I shall check later but at the time it was hot with lights on.

Maybe something to do with the neutral switch and the 1st/2nd gear ignition timing change? Try clicking up into third.

Couldn't take the bike for a ride but started it up in the garden and got it up to temp. Flicked through the gears with lights on lights off and various other permutations and fault has gone. I shall keep an eye on it the next time I take it out for essential shopping and will look up TPS and neutral gear timing thingy as things to poke if it comes back.
