Yeah Tone stuffed it, got txt yesterday pm, details sketchy tho he OK he says, bike somewhat bent but bashed into shape & rideable

Done: Homo sap navigation/ twisty thing on bars to make it go vroom/ grabby thing to make it stop (in front of twisty thing)/ 'leccy things front and rear to make it glow at night/ Sucky + drippy oiler thing to keep chains moist (!!) / Laser Pro Stock Race pipes / bleeding ear drums (see previous mod)
To do: Educate homo sap nav system to operate twisty + grabby things/ get ear plugs

All Trashed Now... Pants... its a Cat B Mwahahaha it lives again!!

Yup....it's all true.

JohnnyW binned his immaculate silver/black Mk2 on a right hander , running wide onto the grass verge then crashing down on the right side of the bike. Cosmetic damage and a bend back brake lever which was bent back into shape by Dandy.

Tony ran into an Audi in Selkirk ( I think ) . The car moved left and Nanook is sure he saw a left indicator. Tony went to pass
and the car moved to the right.

Bent forks and broken front mudguard. A few hours in a local garage got them straight enough to ride.

With about 20 bikes it was odds on there was going to be mishaps. No body injured thanfuly.

and the car turned right and didn't indicate right at all. she had just got the car 4 mins earlier from a garage, we all reckon she didn't know where the indicator stalk was ranting.gif

A tricky Corner that also claimed my brother 2 years ago, (no one injured) it tightens up as you progress around, and the red phone box catches your eye on approach, half a seconds distraction and your very close to the edge which is littered with gravel that has been scrubbed from the surface by trucks / waggons / tractors 4x4's etc. blink.gif

Main thing is no Serious injuries at all good.gif (except my fingernail that was pulled away from finger slightly, while fixing tony's bike) Stings like a bitch when i am trying to type tongue.gif

I would like to say a few words here, the people of Hawick are VERY VERY friendly and ever so helpful, no less than 3 (car drivers) pulled up and offered help / garage space/ and knowlege good.gif

we ended up straigning the bike as best we could at the roadside, then riding to the suggested garage. Previous to Tony's Accident we had visited Steve Hislops Graveside to pay our respects. The mechanic in the garage was very helpful and we got talking "as you do" I happened to ask him if he personally knew Steve Hislop the reply was yeah this is where steve was an apprentice, and that lady over there is his MUM" Talk about strange coincidences yahoo.gif

so a few hours later we had tony's bike in a rideable state (in fact tony comented that since the adjustments it's actually better than it was previous)

as slow run back and after an hour or so the confidence was back and the pegs reached the ground good.gif

Once again a big thanks to the really friendly and helpful people of Hawick good.gif (excluding of course mrs no indicators) ranting.gif

I'm blaming it squarely on Ton's helmet. sad.gif

He has so much Hi-Teq stuff built into it (blu-tooth-stereo-flip down lcd tv etc),

it weighs in like a black bowling bowl. With all that weight surely he is top heavy?
