Hi all,
It's been a couple of days now that all of a sudden I am having a very hard time rotating the key in the ignition lock to start the bike. Like from one day to another, just like that. And it's so bad I'm half expecting the key to break every single time.
What I find weird is that the key is hard to rotate only when turning it clockwise, so when trying to start the bike - turning it counter-clockwise to kill the engine or lock the handlebars is as smooth as ever.
I've tried all sorts of sprays, silicone, teflon, you name it, but to no avail. (Haven't tried WD40 yet because as I understand it it can be harmful for the lock (?) )
Bike is kept indoors, so I highly doubt it may have been caused due to rain or something...
Would greatly appreciate some opinions and/or advice as to how to tackle this. Thanks to everyone in advance for your time.
Bike is a 2004 TDM900 RN11.
