I have had both original Concept and currently using a C2 and yes it does leak, on the original I glued a trimmed bit of a car wiper blade to the top edge of the visor which cured it, but it's a bit of a faf when replacing the visor. ;)

Yeah, I might rob an old helmet of it's rubber and try something similar.

Quick note on the C3, there's an extra click to close the visor fully. Mine leaks if I don't do that. Problem is, you need both hands to do it - when it seems closed, try closing it a bit more and it should click into place. v.annoying :(

My Schuberth S2 was sent back to Germany and they fitted a double thickness visor seal as it has been a common issue with them - that still didn't stop the leaking though.

There was a letter in Ride or Bike magazine about a year ago from a guy who bought two C3's and they both leaked - he didn't bother taking them back but just threw them in the bin!

The Ride mag flip helmet review I mentioned earlier also cusses the C3 pro for leaking.  "Unforgivable for the premium price"  £499.99

I'll be taking a small bottle of drinking water to the NEC. :D

I too use the C3 Pro but haven't encountered any of the leaking as yet and I've been through some horrendous monsoons on the west coast this year. The extra click is intentional so that you can have it open a crack for extra airflow if needed and I've found that using my left hand to pinch the bottom of the helmet with the right-hand tab on the base of the visor closes it fully pretty easily. Just make sure not to pinch the flip release in the centre by mistake at the same time

Shark are worth a look if you can get the flip at a good price...

I have to say that mines been fine - although it is full face.

The sun visor mech is also really good - Revzilla stated "best in the market" in one of their reviews!

Have a shark evo 3, two seasons no problems but you must lubricate the rubber seal occasionally, fluid provided or they will harden.

It looks like Schubert are now being run by accountants - evidently there have been issues reported with the C4 misting up and one of the reasons is that they no longer use Pinlock inserts but a copy that doesn't seem to work as well. Supposedly they've also prevented pinlock from offering a version although there are places claiming to sell them.

Having spent a small fortune on a Schuberth lid that went back to Schuberth twice but still leaked from the top of the visor I saw no point spending that sport of money again and have just splashed out £170 on a Nolan N87. So far it's all good, very comfy, quiet and no misting issues - Build quality looks good so it's hard to see what spending twice as much on a Schuberth gets you.

I've yet to give it the ultimate test in the rain but the visor seal does seem a lot better than my Schuberth.

I also picked up a Nolan N40-5 GT Classic Helmet which looks similar to the N43, (removable chin piece, visor etc) and while it has been perfect in the summer it is quite noisy and isn't really made for winter or wet weather as it leaked as much as the Schuberth.

I have now had my n87 tested in the rain and can confirm no leaks.

Bit late but me and the misses have the N104s. Huge improvement on the 103 I had. Mandis is almost new but mine is 3 years old and loosing a bit of paint, water based? Still a good fit and all working fine. Lighter than the 103 too. We've both got the intercoms fitted, it all fits the helmet but a little over priced compered to others out there.

103 used to leak inside the visor, none of that on the 104. Venting's nothing special although I can feel the top of my head cooling when the top one's open, kind of strange coz it's just the very top of my head. Yes, good and water tight.

iirc you can ride a bike with the chinguard flipped up so keeping cool shouldn't be a problem. :)  Watertight is good. :good:

That’s good to know. I really liked my 103 (mine didn’t leak, heavy though) but the 104 is now on my hit list. It’s styled better too.
