Hi all just got a very tatty 4tx will be looking for an exhaust and a few other bits and pieces but was wondering what the parts swap ability is between the two thinking of min work to get the 4tx roadworthy then i can tart up my 3vd at leisure

Swapability is pretty good.  Zorst, swinger, brake calipots, rear shock, errr tyres, wheels.....  prolly better if you tell us what you wanna swap and we'll tell you if it's swappable. :)


Mk2a 2000 in Silver. Top end Refurb @ 41100 miles, Scottoiler, Renthal Road High Bars, Up & Back Bar Risers, Bellypan, DL650 Handguards, Capt. I'm in Helensburgh nr Glasgow

i think the bike is 99% there just wondering if there were any other changes apart from crank and gearbox.

my 3vd is running well but the cosmetics need sorting engine repainted frame repainted/powder coated fairing needs minor repairs  just wear and tear from use

getting 4tx Saturday so will have a better look then

Back end of the exhaust is the same but I'm not sure about the header pipes, are the engines at the same angle?

If it's missing one silencer does that suggest an aftermarket exhaust as the standard one has the collector box and silencers as one big lump (aka the starship enterprise)?

the swingarms may differ slightly in length. Header pipes are the same. 


spyball alarm/immob, bluespot brake calipers and Stainless hoses, Fournales air adjustable shock with Remote Resevoir, forks raised 10mm thru yokes, racetech linear fork springs in 15 wt oil, Kappa wingrack/luggage, heated grips, Kedo handguards, dual heat controller to power heated jacket liner and or pants!!, Stebel 136DB horn, K&N air filter, colour matched Baglux tank cover (magnetic tank bag modified to fit cover), osram +50% headloight bulbs, headlight protector,"NitramSpecial" parking loight, tail light indicators all running on LED's & incorporate "Lite Buddies", MK7 Scottoiler fitted, taller screen, 2-2 stainless steel CCC's, Devil stainless down pipes. MKI Renntec engine crash bars & sump guard.
engine changed july 2007 on a dyno run it made 79.1BHP / Torque 59.9Had a brief flirtation with a 1999 MKIIa but it blew an exaust valve on the M5 so was sold on to be repaired.

I loike tay and hang sangwiches !

its a bit of a shed but everything works but gota get rid of the wavy discs

any idea what exhaust it is its got  very curvy pipework

not expensive but not a steal either new back tyre and lots of parts if my original needs anything worth it for the engine
