Where is the best place to get a switched live to power my sat nav?

Handlebar brake switch on the front brake lever. But only if the Satnav uses under 1Amp of current (check on the label).
The pilot lamp in the front fairing is switched too.
If the satnav is going to take more than 1Amp then you might be better off running a proper switched live from the battery
Otherwise run a new switched feed from the battery, via a relay operated by an existing switched live, such as for the rear lights or rear brake switch

I got this from the RE Himalayan forum and installed one on my niner. I am not great electrically, but it was fairly straightforward. I intend adding DRLs and heated grips, so can add them easily.

I just added a relay from a switched feed on mine, which now powers up heated grips, Stebel Magnum horns, sat nav, twin power sockets for phone charging/air compressor (when needed for tyre inflation if touring) and camera power when used. Each extra circuit separately fused.

I think these are useful, relay and fuse all in one

Or if you're throwing all your cards in, go for the multi fuse version !
