Just had an email from insurance company (Hastings )
Informing me that I would possibly need a Green Card if travelling in Europe after 28/3/19
Usually valid for up to 15 days but can be longer and must be posted to home address - not available for download
I'm sure you're all about to get a similar email from your insurance company

It's all on the .Gov website where it says a GC will be free - well I will be watching that cos I've had to pay for these before, (late 70's n early 80's). FOC from an insurance company  :rotflmmfao:  :rotflmmfao:

FOC  :good:

Maybe the charge was for the Bail Bond - £1500 value IIRC - my memory is not as good as I believe :punishment:

Churchie sent me a similar letter today. :)  What to do if you want to drive in the EU after BREXIT. With accompanying email linkydink.  Why they send a letter with an email linkydink instead of emailing me it is beyond me though.

What was the bail bond about? Is that similar to a Carnet? Presumably in the event of a no deal we'll probably need a Carnet too.

BB was to keep ya out o kustardy in the event of an accident - of course my £1500 example was 8+ weeks pay for a lot of folk then. Scale it up to £8500 in 2019...............

Carnets are altogether different fettle o kish. Normally export licences (temp) or an agreement like a camping carnet etc.
