Hi all,

I have been thinking of fitting a fender extender but the one below was the only one I could find. Anyone used one of these or can offer better suggestion?

I am also amazed by the amount of crap that sprays up onto my top box and was thinking of fitting a mudflap. There are various ones on ebay and this one seemed ok. Being a tight git, it crossed my mind that I could fit a mud flap to the front and wondered if anybody had tried that option. There are various sizes available.

The Pyramid brand look good and work well on the 900... it's not a stop all solution but it certainly cuts the cr@p down.

I've been thinking about making a retractable mud flap for the rear, something that slides on bolts up behind the number plate plastics.

I've already got the Pyramid entender so the front flap isn't so important.

I made a rear mudflap from the remnants of a cut down rear mudflap of a gs500.

does a good job and its sturdy enough for me to mount my rear fog. only problem i have it using the paddock stand on the rear wheel is a bit tricky, but i can live it that.

Rallyist has fitted a small right angled metal "tail" under his number plate
Which seems to keep his back end clean, I'm sure he'll be along shortly

Due to time restraints and the fact that I had an empty 5 lt oil container in the garage, I went with this option for the front. Looks OK, and matches the black mudguard. Used a mudflap on the back with the Yamaha logo. Will post some pics as the tool tubes are now on.

Maybe I should get a mark 1 or 2... I need all my old oil containers while coz I own a 900, and our other bikes don't use oil either. ;)
