I loved this and it led me to his review of the Triumph Bonneville and then the Kawasaki W800. Both are well worth the watch. Can someone ask Channel 4 to ditch Henry Cole and hire this guy please?

2004 900 - Blue with lots of goodies

2012 900 - Still adding shiny bits. Was black, changed to white and now back to black again.

I am gutted, such an unfair portrayal. Having just sold my 900SS I can tell you that my Duke was the most reliable, well engineered motorcycle I've ever owned. Apart perhaps from its unwillingness to start if the ambient temperature fell below 20 degrees and even then you didn't know whether you were going to be riding a full fat 900 twin or a breathless 450 single. Oh and the flip up stand should you suddenly have the unexpected urge to lay the bike on its side in a busy car park or in the comfort of your own garage and then give yourself serious back issues when trying to lift it upright. And thinking about it, the close proximity of the dip switch to the lights on/off switch which was always a laugh when approaching a bend at night and brushing the wrong one. And factual inaccuracy spotted "2 coats of paint" Incorrect as clearly the engine paint was less than one coat applied over the oily crankcases. God how I miss it...………….

It's taken me down the rabbit hole, too. SR 500 oil change using a 400.
