got meeself this

and i must say excellent service from lidsdirect, i actually ordered a black one as there were no white ones listed on their site.

i just happened to add a little text in the delivery comments box like "i have ordered a black but if you have a white i would really appreciate it"

they read this and located a white at another branch and duly sent that good.gif

excellent customer service badgrock.gif very RARE nowadays .

well the konda came in yesterday. Went to try it on today but its too small. My chin touches the front which it didn't in my old one and it did feel terribly tight. so I've ordered a medium. Hopefully that will be ok, but when i tried on my brothers it was a little loose. I'm hoping that's down to the fact it was worn in and shaped to his head.

We'll see

I've needed to change my helmet for a while, so I've had a good read of this thread and gone and tried a few on too. I went to the my nearest Hein Gericke and was measured up as a medium ( so no bragging there then ). dry.gif I tried on the HJC IS Max but it felt far too tight in medium and the large didn't feel right either. I tried the HJC IS 16 and that felt much comfier. I then tried a Nolan N71 classic but again it didnt feel right so I finally tried a AGV S4 SV which felt really comfortable and light too. Unfortunately they didn't have a gloss black AGV in stock. The Naked white version was 149.99 with the 25% off but I want a Black one because of the colour of my bike and leathers. Anyway came home to think it all out and went on ebay and other internet sites, and have found plently of Black ones with the 25% offer on. So I thought I'd ring the Hein G shop up and see if they could get me one at the same price, but they couldn't so I've ordered one from a ebay shop. Some places obviously don't want the buisness excl.gif

As i have noted previously well pleased with rating of my Bell M1 ***** for £165 and am happy with fit and performance

and it is also 250gms lighter so presumably not so much strain on neck

before i checked this was always worried by the old question how much is your head worth - however it would seem that price and safety are not always related

It amazes me just how much stuff you can find out on the internet, thanks for the info. According to those tests I've made a good decision. The AGV S4 gets 5 stars, the HJC IS 16 which was going to be my 2nd choice only got the 2, and the HJC IS MAX got 3 excl.gif rolleyes.gif

I pay no attention to the SHARP rating system. MCN slated the system and Arai lids score poorly. In my opinion Arai lids are amongst the very best in the world. Some very cheap helmets scored well by placing reinforcement at the target test areas, meaning the rest of the lids was sub-standard.

And I don't see how my HJC IS Max scores 3 stars, a flip front lid which stays closed in only 40% of impacts, and my ARAI Chaser also scores 3 stars, a full face lid costing 3 times the price!!
