the stuff last 3 to 5 years, on the course it took just as long to trim the vinyl as it did to wrap the car. the film is amazing stuff, but its how you work the material.

Wrapping a frame would be possible, there would be a split line at the inside of the frame, so you cant see the join.  There is plenty of material out there to choose from, even chrome effect.

cheers Mick,  looks like fun at apply, just make sure the areas are really clean before applying, any grease or grim will not allow the adhesive to bond to the paint work, you will possible need a deep clean and do not wax the areas as wax contains silicon. think isopropanol is the choice for vinyl wraps.

hope this helps

I'll have a try this weekend.

Where can I get isopropanol from and will they think I'm a terrorist?

:)

Amazon http://www.amazon.co...L/dp/B00AMZ10SE read the description at the bottom of page.

also remember to start from the middle if the wrap, and work the air to the outside of the film.

Not 100% sure but I think plumbers use this stuff to clean their poly pipes afore glueing them.  A good plumbing suppliers should have it, or an equivalent chemical, in stock.
