After a visit to the internationally renowned House Of Henty where the GS got blinged up (we all know his hatred of rusty bits!!) Lee has decided to have a go at making a part that BMW should have fitted free!! It is looking great and will end up anodised black!
Can you guess what it is?

Or maybe a stainless "old skool" phone dialing disc - you know the ones that took you ages to dial 999?

Well done Rallyist, a sound knowledge of BMW's offerings.
Quite a pile of rusty BMW bits was left over. Should have took a photo and sent them back to BMW with a note: 'these bits are shite mate, you could do better'
The bike itself is not bad, but the quality of the stock fasteners is rubbish considering this is a premium brand bike.
They are made of very soft steel too. They use every which way combinaton of Torx and E bolts to confuzzle you.
Matt's bike can now pass muster without my reaching for the stainless box each time. There is still some way to go yet as some of the bolts are in hard to reach places.
The holes were done with a dividing head I borrowed off the master engineer (aka Dad) as BMW have to use the hollow axle to cool the rear drive hub

er no it fills in the big hole in the back axle of a BMW that BMW sort of forgot to fill up.
