Havn't  posted anything in a while cause I had an off after I was hit by a car last August. The TDM is all repaired and 100% back on the road, One of the things I had to replace was the clutch lever, I bought one from Ebay but when it arrived it did not have the small paddle at the back that presses a small switch every time the clutch lever is pulled. Has anyone any idea what the little switch does, because the bike works grand with new lever????????????????????????????

The switch de-activates a safety circuit.

If still with an original and correct set up; it should allow starter to operate when engine in gear with clutch pulled in.

Many have been shorted out to suit the requirements of an experienced rider.

Edit for xtra info;

Link to downloadable manual=worth a read.
