A lot of riding schools seem to include it in the CBT, maybe it's compulsory that they do ? I don't know....
Personally I use it as a service tool, when trying to diagnose a fault
900 with better bits. Owes me nothing, Makes me smile

Official use of kill switch...............
The kill switch is just to be used for messing with ya mates at traffic lights.

The kill switch will cut the coils, the injectors and the fuel pump.
This is all what is required to stop the engine properly.
Main switch do the same along with lights, signaling, etc.
I use the kill switch because It allows to cut the engine before stopping without the need to move the hand from the handlebar.

Much more funny if you remove their keys and throw them away (in the river ?).

The bloody mopeds I had didn't need a kill switch to stop them running. They managed that pretty well without any outside assistance!

All the Jap ones in the seventies did ......... we all wasted loads of time & effort trying to kick over Suzuki & Kwack 250's after our mates had flicked the kill switches on while we were in the cafe ............Oh how we'd laugh

If I go left I have to take it off and put the right one on then the left.
As for the kill switch, don't think I've ever used one.
