So what about the one HIDS4U ? If so, which bulb, 5000k, 6000k or 8000k? and Projector H7 or Reflector H7R?
I think I will do the dipped beam only for the time being anyway as it's to be seen to necessarily to see where I'm going.
What does the panel think?
Thanks
Nick

For that price you can get a car set, and either HID both dipped & main beam, or go halves with someone.
I wouldn't go above 6000K. I've run 4300K, 5000K and 6000K. The 43's are a good white light with touch of yellow, 50's are a solid white, 60's have a touch of blue to them. Personally it would be 5000K next time I get any.
As for bulbs, you should get H7R, as these have an extra reflector on the bulb to account for "Reflector" type light units (H7 HIDs should be used with Projector type lights).
Check eBay...something like THIS
You'll also need a blub holder...I used one of THESE (isn't where I got them from, but same part)
Thinking about it, if you want to go halves let me know...I'm just south of Maidstone, and commute daily to Docklands (M20 / A20) so we seem to be in the same neck of the wood...

They say that, but they don't know the TDM like we do
When you remove the STD Halogen bulb you'll see the adapter thats fitted to that (may already know what I mean if removed bulb(s) before).
The HID bulb won't(can't) attach to that.
I started off by using some dense foam cut to shape to pack the gap between the back of the bulb, and the wire retaining clip, then moved to the adapter I've linked above.
The foam works ok, but the adapter is better.
Isn't a show stopper, but you will need something in there to hold the bulb tight against the headlamp otherwise it'll waggle around, and you'll end up damaging the bulb.
See the paragraph just above the 10th photo in THIS THREAD - gives you a better idea of what I'm trying to explain.

What he said.
I used the bit if HD foam that came with the HID lamp, but later changed to the plastic hold like above.

Agree with moving the ballast to the other side of the fairing. ECU won't like it at all. I had 2 ballasts back to back in the other side and had no problems at all.
