3Vd Sprockets

Can a 3vd afficianado advise if 3vd has the rubber cush front sprocket and is the factory spec 17t/42t ? TIA...

Forget that folks...found the answer on JBX site...16t/44t for the 3vd

Oh yeah, forgot to add, the Yamaha front sprocket for mk1's does have a cush drive, the rear doesn't though.

Don't be giving me ideas Dab !
OEM c&s kit no longer available for 4tx. Individual parts are at twice the price ......I found a OEM kit online for a 3vd....chain identical.....sprockets not..

Anybody cleverer than me knows what 16t/44t instead of 17t/42t would do to rpm / road speed. At 17/42 it runs 600 rpm per 10mph....

Rules the idea out though ...takes the rpm higher for a given road speed....bit lower would've been ok...

If you fit a shorter chain then the sprocket has to pull fewer links through between the sprockets, therefore reducing the rpm's back down ;)

Result. Found a nos oem c&s kit online. There's a 3vd kit available too if anybody's willing to pay extra for endless chain and factory sprockets...178 euros delivered
