Oh yeah, forgot to add, the Yamaha front sprocket for mk1's does have a cush drive, the rear doesn't though.

If you fit a shorter chain then the sprocket has to pull fewer links through between the sprockets, therefore reducing the rpm's back down
900 with better bits. Owes me nothing, Makes me smile
