What would the correct level of fuel in the Fuel filter be
At. Idle ?
Currently it looks about 1/3 with a little surge every few seconds or so

Having issues, poor idle less than 1k rough running ,thought it might be a coil / Lead etc
But I swapped the spark plugs new resistors in the caps ran the Bike with
1 Coil unplugged at a time - no change at all both sounded the same still rough
Took it for a spin on Dual carriage fine at 60 /70 /80
Lower speeds struggling / cutting out need to keep Revs up 2/3k
So now thinking Fuelling issue ?

Thoughts Gentlemen and Ladies ?

New F/Filter is only a couple of quid (generic inline FF will do for a 4tx). I don;t think it will be the filter as the bike would be less inclined to run at higher revs. From memory mine was between 1/3 and 1/2 full at idle when I had a 4tx.

Choke on?

HT shorting to frame?

Air screws?

Lots to check out really - someone will be along with more suggested areas to check.

......all over my head !.....I’m guessing the influence of surrounding metal

if anyone has time, a nice explanation might be ‘entertaining’

Tickover should be higher than 1k.  Try upping the tickover to 1250rpm.

Well it was Dry today
So Tank off check connections etc - Tank back on nope still the same
Tank off again , bugger it symptoms point to Coil / Lead issue But I
only ordered 1 So replaced the one which I Replaced in December last year ( Right hand one it's easier to get to ) must be just in the right spot for spray or something as it was looking a bit rusty
Tank back on
Fires up no problem let's it warm up - adjust idle speed take it for spin all good
Fixed just in Time for Xmas Toy Run tomorrow not been able to attend for years due to work so looking forward to it
