Good job Steve but how you older chaps "says the old chap" swing from thousandths to metric confuzzles me, living abroad for a long time turned me metric and since cant work in imperial, how unBritish i am now  :)

Bloody foreigner 😁 same here though. Working on Jap bikes lends itself to working with the metric system.

First run of the year to St Mary's Loch, on the new to me 900

The rear shock is not bad but my rebuilt Ohlins will be ready in 2 weeks :). Forks are bouncy under pressure, I think I'll try 30W in one fork leg. It worked for the last one !

Fitted the new rubbers front and rear, changed fork oil... At least put some new in, what was there didn't much look like oil. BT023's and overfilled the tubes to 115 mm for a little better end compression damping.

Yay!

Another year, another clean sheet. MOT pass today. Nicely run in now at 63,529 miles and a fairly tidy 8,453 since last year.

Got about 300 ish miles on the new Roadsmart 4s that went on on Monday. Have to say, very impressed so far. easy as grippy as the Road 5s they replaced and the turn in is lovely.

2004 Galaxy Blue. Owned since 486 miles.Renthal 755 bars, Bagster tank cover, Oxford heated grips, DL650 hand guards, Double Bubble screen, Scorpion Rad guard, Gel pad insert, HLD undertray, Angry Badger tailtidy,  Michelin Road 5s, Givi E21s, E46 topbox, Ohlins shock and YSS cartridge emulators   Currently not fitted - PC3, Remus Revolutions.

Went for a run up to Rannoch Moor. Last time, I forgot my camera !

Really enjoyed the ride there, everything on the bike worked well together, but, I still need to sort the suspension !

#2 is a bit gruesome! B&W appropriate.

Is / was that a deer caught in a wire fence? Was it a fair bit off the road? or someone would have had a freezer full of venison!

It was a stinky ex sheep Steve ! Beyond a fence which was lining the road, so it wasn't even roadkill. I just came across it while walking in the boggy stuff towards the river

Tackled the rear suspension bushes, wow that was emotional finally managed to remove the lower bearing sleeve to find that the needle roller bearing had disintegrated.

2002 900 obviously had never been done.
All other bearings good but dirty, good clean up and there good to go.

Thanks to this site.

Not today but on Tuesday.....I enjoyed a 'spirited' ride out round N Yorkshire and an isolated stream-side picnic.

Single-handedly reviving the Wave.
