I have modified the hatted skull, it made him look like he had ears. so airbrushed the hat away, added a hood and turned it into Grim Reaper.

need to add colours, yellow tinge to bone structure possible a dark purple or red hood. toying with a text 'Your Next' just under the jaw.

You don't want to spell it like that though rolleyes.gif

Cheers CB the spewchoc is not working on this pc. how about 'You're next' or 'next please'

I will try and get it finished this week, and add lacqure / clear coat. then rebuild it ready for next weekend. I will stuff it in the topbox. as its an old lid there
are a few dings in the surface,

I put out the flames as I wern't happy with them, so the lid has now been repainted. Mr Grim is still there, but its moved to a darker place.

ready for clear coat, but there again if I am not happy with it I can respray it again and again ........

hopefully I will leave it alone and take it on the south wales meeting this weekend.

I have finished the Lid, clearcoat added the lid reassembled. I think the tinted visor helps with the overall appearance

My Bro needs me to touch up a scratch on his TDM9 fairing, he has been thinking of speedblocks, but not in the traditional Yam race colours. looking at secret til light his the side panels. speedblock in dark blue agains the black background, its noly when light reflects of it you will see the colour difference.

but there again I have an 850 spare RH fairing, I will try the speedblocks on that. but nothing is safe anymore too many ideas to paint.

As you know I have been tidying up the TDM. http://www.carpe-tdm...showtopic=12279
so here is my latest idea.

Clear coat to be added tomorrow, this will enhance the artwork.

well I have fitted the rear hugger and the bellypan. I will see how I like then over the next few weeks, I can always respray them.

if you look close you will see the front footpegs are missing, I have worn through the rubber well half on each side, from the screws to the front, they are not very comfy. so I bought a new pair from M and P's but I have to remove the pivot pin, then replace it.

I like the skull lid......Toptastic ! Well done. Do you need a seperate room to work in ? Any ventilation or special lighting etc ?

Had a look at the kits and they aren't that pricey really.

I have a special room for my painting, its called the attic, no special ventilation require as I use water based paints, when I spray lacqure I use a filtered facemask and close the loft door. I have a few lights in the attic - my studio.

I got my kit, airbrush & compressor for approx £100.00 delivered, paint I generally spent up £30 which serves my for a few jobs.

here is how I started, its on another commuter forum, a lot on here are also on there.

http://dashack.co.uk...pic,4832.0.html

I was wearing the Grim reaper lid the other day and had a close call with some a**hole with a nissan pickup truck with crewcab. I had the TDM cranked over going around a 3 lane roundabout, middle lane take you to motorway east (M4, J45), the guy decides he will take left lane and half my lane, then he goes up m'way. I blew horns, pulled level with him on slip road, no response from him so I moved the TDM within a 1 ft of his truck, he crapped himself. I got onto m'way and went slow, the barstewart didn't go near my.

I thought the lid was evil, but there again I have seen him do this a few time with cars.

Just a bit of advice, when you are doing flames, use the side of some stretched out cotton wool to thing out the edges
