You did the right thing laying the bike down Dougie, it wudda been a lot worse going over/into the car. My guess is the insurance co. will prolly write the bike off so you might be offered it for little money and then get it repaired. Anyhoos, give us a shout if you need any help fixing it.
Best wishes for a speedy recovery and a quick exit from hospital.

Thanks everyone don't think the wife wants to see it so don't think I will be repairing it even though I have a set of exhausts both side fairings and a spare front wheel at home sat in the shed before they come take it I've got my uncle to take the top box off and wing rack so they will be for sale soon lol still what other hobby could I take up instead of biking ?
Bike looks like is was in great condition before the crash. Hope you mend fast and get good money from their insurance.
Oh, and there's a vulture here for a pair of yellow side panels should they come available.

Sorry for your loss !
Got to think about an old joke, slightly rewritten for a TDM accident:
Patient wakes up in a hospital and doctor says:
- "Ahh, you're awake! I have good and bad news for you. The bad one is that the TDM is a total wreck, and won't be driveable again."
- "And the good news ?"
- "I have a buyer for your Blue Spots !"
Get well soon, and hope you get back on the (/"a") bike soon !

I don't think the discs and hoses will fit the mk1 Charley.

As for the bike, looking at the pictures I would be mortified myself ..........
Now regarding the possible breaking of the bike, could I please tag on the end of the vulture queue and be considered for both black plastic side panels that fit between the tank, seat & frame ?. Ever since I've owned the bike mine are just hanging on in there due to every clip & screw lug being "Basterdized" by the previous owner :-).
Safe & speedy recovery matey & hope you don't mind me asking :-) ......
