My son left his job as a ranger on the Farne Islands about a year ago for a better option still in conservation. It looks to have been a wise choice with far better prospects, and a fair bit of travelling including to conferences. He's just been asked to attend one in Bucharest in April. There won't be much chance of sightseeing, it seems, certainly for any real exploring, but hopefully he might be able to grab a train or something to see a bit of the country, so would any liocal Carpe mate be available to advise on such things? If so, drop me a line and I'll pass it on.
